Getting started guide

Go from account creation to a credible first resume using a fast, structured workflow.

If you are starting from zero, speed matters, but quality still matters more. This guide gives you the shortest practical path to a credible first version you can actually send.

Step 1: Create your account

  • Open the Jobapply app and sign up with your email.
  • Confirm your email address from the message we send.
  • You are now on the free plan and can start immediately.

Step 2: Start a new resume

  • From your dashboard, click New Resume.
  • Choose a template from the gallery. If you are unsure, start with London.
  • The editor opens with your chosen template ready to fill.

Step 3: Fill in your details

  • Work through each section: contact info, summary, experience, education, skills.
  • Use the preview panel to check how it looks as you go.
  • Do not aim for perfect on the first pass — get the content in, then refine.

Step 4: Export

  • Once you are satisfied, click Download.
  • On paid plans, choose PDF for most applications (or DOCX if requested).
  • On the free plan, use TXT download.
  • Save the file to your device.
Your resume saves automatically as you type. You can close the editor and return later — everything will be where you left it.
