How to cancel, downgrade, or delete your account
Choose cancellation, downgrade, or deletion with clear consequences and no surprises.
These three actions are often confused, and that confusion leads to avoidable data loss or unexpected renewals. This guide clarifies what each option does so you can choose the right one for your situation.
Cancel your subscription
Cancelling stops future billing charges. Your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your account moves to the free plan. Your documents and account remain intact.
- Go to Account Settings and open the Billing section.
- Select Cancel Subscription and confirm when prompted.
- You will receive a cancellation confirmation by email. Keep this for your records.
- At the end of the billing period, your account reverts to the free plan with free-plan features.
Downgrade to free
If you want to keep using the platform without a paid plan, you can downgrade. This removes access to premium templates and paid exports, but your saved documents remain accessible.
- Open Billing in Account Settings.
- Select Downgrade to Free and confirm.
- Export any documents you want in PDF or DOCX before downgrading, as export options change on the free plan.
Delete your account
Account deletion is permanent. All documents, profile data, and history are removed and cannot be recovered. Cancel your subscription first before requesting deletion to avoid an unwanted renewal.
- Cancel any active subscription first (see above).
- Go to Account Settings and scroll to the bottom.
- Select Delete Account and confirm with your password.
- A confirmation email is sent to your address. The deletion is processed within 48 hours.
