Use the free plan strategically, then upgrade only when export and speed needs justify it.

A free plan can be enough if you use it with intention. The key is understanding when free features support your job-search pace and when limitations begin to cost you time or quality. This guide helps you decide with clear trade-offs.

  • Unlimited saving and document storage.
  • TXT download on the free plan.

What requires a paid plan

  • PDF and Word exports for resumes and cover letters.
  • Export access for active applications that require polished files.
  • Paid-plan access shown on the upgrade screen before checkout.

Getting the most from the free plan

If you are applying for roles actively, the free plan may be enough while you draft. Upgrade when you need polished PDF or Word exports for live applications.

Upgrade and downgrade options are in Account Settings under Billing. You can upgrade at any time and cancel before the next renewal to avoid further charges.
