How to use the platform for free

Use the free plan strategically, then upgrade only when export and speed needs justify it.

A free plan can be enough if you use it with intention. The key is understanding when free features support your job-search pace and when limitations begin to cost you time or quality. This guide helps you decide with clear trade-offs.

What is included for free

  • Full resume and cover letter editing.
  • Unlimited saving and document storage.
  • TXT download on the free plan.
  • Shareable link to your document (no download needed for the recipient).

What requires a paid plan

  • Unlimited PDF and Word exports.
  • Access to all premium templates.
  • Advanced customisation options (accent colours, font choices).
  • Priority support.

Getting the most from the free plan

If you are applying for roles actively, the free plan export limit may be enough for a short search. Export your finalized resume once you are satisfied rather than downloading drafts repeatedly. Use the shareable link for situations where a download is not strictly required.

Upgrade and downgrade options are in Account Settings under Billing. You can upgrade at any time and cancel before the next renewal to avoid further charges.
