How to change your resume template or design
Change template design deliberately while protecting content hierarchy and readability.
Changing templates should improve communication, not just appearance. The best design choice is the one that makes your strongest evidence easiest to scan for your target role. Use this guide to switch design without damaging clarity.
Switch templates
- Open your resume in the editor.
- Click on Templates in the sidebar or top menu.
- Browse available templates and click any one to preview it with your content.
- Click Apply to switch. Your content moves into the new layout immediately.
- If the result does not look right, you can switch again as many times as you like.
Change accent colour
Many templates support a custom accent colour. This affects headings, dividers, and decorative elements. A consistent and subtle colour usually looks more professional than a bold or unusual one.
- Open Template Settings in the editor sidebar.
- Click the colour swatch next to Accent Colour.
- Choose from the preset options or enter a hex code.
- The preview updates live.
Adjust font size and line spacing
- Font size and line spacing can be adjusted in Document Settings.
- If your content is long, use the small font size option to fit more on one page.
- If your resume is short, slightly larger spacing can help fill the page without adding content.
